Nigerian Army Logistics Staff Course participants visit Sam-Ace on operational study tour
Participants of Logistics Staff Course 23/2026 visited our Akoda-Ede facility to study indigenous pharmaceutical manufacturing and logistics.
Sam-Ace Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Limited was pleased to host participants of the Logistics Staff Course 23/2026 of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Ojo, Lagos, during an Operational Study Tour on 27 April 2026.
The visit, themed “Leveraging Indigenous Resources for Enhanced Logistics Support in the Nigerian Army,” provided participants with practical insights into pharmaceutical manufacturing, supply chain operations, human resource management, and logistics within the private sector.
During the visit, the delegation received presentations on Sam-Ace’s history, organizational structure, manufacturing operations, human resource practices, product portfolio, and strategic direction. Participants also gained an understanding of the company’s role in supporting local pharmaceutical manufacturing, employment generation, healthcare delivery, and the development of Nigeria’s pharmaceutical value chain.
A key component of the study tour was an overview of Sam-Ace’s logistics operations, including the movement of raw materials and finished products, transportation management, distribution, vehicle tracking, and supply chain coordination.
The delegation subsequently embarked on a guided tour of the manufacturing facility, where participants observed pharmaceutical production, quality control, warehousing, and logistics operations firsthand. The tour provided an opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with practical industry processes.
The visit also highlighted potential areas of collaboration between indigenous pharmaceutical manufacturers and the Nigerian Army, particularly in strengthening local pharmaceutical supply and logistics capabilities.
The programme concluded with the presentation of a Meritorious Award to the Managing Director of Sam-Ace Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Limited, Dr. Sam Olawoye, in recognition of his support for military education and professional development and for facilitating the study tour.
The visit strengthened the relationship between Sam-Ace Pharmaceuticals and the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management, while highlighting the value of collaboration between industry and public institutions in advancing healthcare delivery, logistics excellence, and national development.
Sam-Ace Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Limited remains committed to contributing to the growth of Nigeria’s pharmaceutical manufacturing sector and to building partnerships that support sustainable healthcare and national development.
