From a single pharmacy in Kano to a modern manufacturing footprint in Osun State.

1991

Foundation

Sam-Ace Limited was established as a retail pharmacy in Kano, Nigeria — the beginning of our commitment to improving access to quality medicines.

2003

Manufacturing begins

Sam-Ace transitioned into pharmaceutical manufacturing, marking the start of our journey as a producer of quality medicines.

2005

ORS® registration

Achieved a major milestone with the NAFDAC registration of ORS® (Oral Rehydration Salts).

2006

Beta-lactam expansion

Expanded into beta-lactam antibiotics with the registration of ASTAPICIN®, ASTARCLOX®, and ASTAMOCIL® dry syrup formulations.

2010

Osun State headquarters

Relocated manufacturing headquarters to Akoda-Ede, Osun State, establishing the foundation for future expansion.

2013

Capsule production line

Commissioned a capsule production line to strengthen manufacturing capabilities for adult patients.

2017

Tablet line & ASTAMENTIN®

Commissioned a tablet production line and registered additional antibiotic formulations, including ASTAMENTIN®, for paediatric and adult care.

2021

Strategic partnership

Entered a strategic partnership with a consortium of industry experts and investors to accelerate long-term growth and manufacturing capacity.

2024

Beta-Lactam facility commissioned

Commissioned our state-of-the-art Beta-Lactam Manufacturing Facility — a landmark achievement that significantly enhanced production capabilities.
