The engagement reinforces the company's commitment to workplace safety, employee well-being and continuous improvement.

Sam-Ace Ltd. recently welcomed representatives of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Occupational Safety and Health Department, alongside the team from the NSITF/NECA Safe Workplace Intervention Project 2026/2027, for an official workplace engagement and occupational safety and health audit.

The visiting team was led by Shodiq Salami, accompanied by his team, and was received by key representatives of Sam-Ace Ltd., including Engr. Abraham Adegoke, the Health and Safety Officer; Engr. Abraham Adebanjo; and Mr. Taiwo Olawoye on 28th October, 2026.

The visit formed part of the Safe Workplace Intervention Project's activities, providing an opportunity to review workplace safety arrangements, discuss occupational health and safety practices, and identify opportunities to strengthen the organisation's approach to risk prevention and employee protection.

A constructive and progressive engagement

The engagement was notably progressive, with constructive discussions between the visiting team and Sam-Ace Ltd. representatives. The interaction provided a platform for professional exchange, allowing both parties to discuss workplace safety considerations and explore opportunities for improving existing practices.

The participation of Engr. Abraham Adegoke, alongside Mr. Babatunde Akinyele and Mr. Taiwo Olawoye, supported the discussions and provided an opportunity to consider occupational safety and health within the context of the company's operational environment.

Rather than treating workplace safety as a routine compliance obligation, engagements of this nature encourage organisations to approach safety as an ongoing process that requires regular assessment, informed decision-making and the active involvement of relevant personnel.

The visit also highlighted the value of collaboration between organisations and occupational safety stakeholders in promoting awareness, strengthening preventive measures and encouraging responsible workplace practices.

Prioritising safety in pharmaceutical manufacturing

As a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, Sam-Ace Ltd. recognises that maintaining a safe working environment is essential to protecting employees and supporting effective operations. Manufacturing environments require attention to potential workplace hazards, appropriate procedures, employee awareness and consistent implementation of relevant safety measures.

A proactive occupational safety and health framework helps organisations identify potential risks, assess existing controls and determine where additional measures may be beneficial. Regular workplace assessments also provide opportunities to reinforce safe work practices and encourage employees to take responsibility for their own safety and that of their colleagues.

The engagement therefore aligns with the broader importance of embedding safety considerations into daily operations and promoting a culture in which prevention, accountability and continuous improvement remain priorities.

Strengthening the culture of continuous improvement

The audit represented a valuable opportunity for Sam-Ace Ltd. to engage with the visiting team, review relevant workplace safety considerations and explore areas for further development. The progressive nature of the interaction reinforced the importance of open communication, professional collaboration and a shared commitment to occupational health and safety.

For the company, workplace safety is an important component of responsible operations and employee welfare. Sustaining a safe environment requires ongoing attention, effective coordination and the willingness to assess existing practices and make improvements where necessary.

Sam-Ace Ltd. values engagements that support these objectives and provide opportunities to strengthen its workplace safety approach in line with applicable occupational safety and health requirements.

The company views the visit as a constructive step in its continuing commitment to workplace safety, employee well-being and operational responsibility. It remains focused on fostering an environment where safety awareness, preventive action and continuous improvement are integral to everyday work.
