Oral Suspension

ASTAPICIN is a broad spectrum antibiotic formulation of Ampicillin and penicillinase stable Cloxacillin, ASTARCLOX exhibits bacterial activity against a wide range of gram-positive organisim such as Staphylococcl (including penicillinase producing strains). Streptococci, Pneumoniae, Clostridia, B. anthrax and most strains of Enterococcus, and gram-negative organism such as H. Influenza. Brucelia melitanis, Brucella abortus, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella, E. coll and Neisseria species


Indication:
Respiratory tract infections, Ear, Nose and Throat infections. Urinary tract infection, Enteric Fever (Typhoid Fever), Skin and soft tissue infections and other bacterial infections susceptible to Amoxycillin.


Dosage Form:
Oral suspension


Dosage and Administration:
Administer 1⁄2-1 hour before meals
CHILDREN: Up to 2years-1⁄2 teaspoonful (2.5ml) every hours
CHILDREN: 2-6years: 1teaspoonful(5ml) every 6hours
CHILDREN: 6 to 12years-1 teaspoonful (5-10ml) every 6hours or as directed by the physician


Preparation of the suspension:
To make 60ml suspension, add 50ml of boiled and cooled water, invert and shake the bottle until: powder is dispersed. Alternatively, gradually pour boiled and cooled water into the bottle. Shake well ar slowly add more water up to the mark on the bottle.
