Oral Suspension

ASTAMOCIL is a broad spectrum semi-synthetic penicillin combining bactericidal activity with proven safety. It is affective against non-penicillinase producing gram-negative organisms including Salmonella and Shigella species. Haemophilus influenzae, Proteus species, Neisseria Species, Escherichia Coli and other susceptible gram-positive organisms like Streptococcus species and penicillin sensitive Staphylococcus.


Indication:
Respiratory tract infections, Ear, Nose and Throat infections. Urinary tract infection, Enteric Fever (Typhoid Fever), Skin and soft tissue infections and other bacterial infections susceptible to Amoxycillin.


Dosage Form:
Oral suspension


Dosage and Administration:
CHILDREN: Up to 2years-1⁄2 teaspoonful (2.5ml) every 6hours
CHILDREN: 2 to 6years: 1 teaspoonful(5ml) every 6hours
CHILDREN: 6 to 12years: 1-2teaspoonful (5-10ml) every 6hours or as directed by the physician 


Preparation of the suspension:
To make 60ml suspension, add 50ml of boiled and cooled water, invert and shake the bottle until: powder is dispersed. Alternatively, gradually pour boiled and cooled water into the bottle. Shake well ar slowly add more water up to the mark on the bottle.
