ASTAPICIN is a broad spectrum semi-synthetic penicillin combining bactericidal activity with proven safety. It is effective against non-penicillinase producing gram-negative organisms including Salmonella and shigalla species. Heamophilus influenza, Proteus species, Neisseria species, Escherichie coli and other susceptible gram positive organisms like Streptococcus species and penicillin sensitive Staphylococcus.

Adninister ½-1 hour before meals
CHILDREN: Up to 2 years-½ teaspoon (2.5ml) every 6 hours
CHILDREN: 2-6 years: 1 teaspoon (5ml) every 6hours
CHILDREN: 6 to 12 years: 1-2 teaspoonful (5-10ml) every 6 hours or as directed by the physician
To make 100ml suspension, add 90ml of boiled water invert and shake the bottle until all powder is dispersed. Alternatively, gradually pour boiled and cooled water into the bottle. Shake well and slowly add more water up to the mark in the bottle.
The dry powder should be stored below 30°C. The suspension should be used within 7 days of preparation and stored in a cool place preferably in a refrigerator at 2-8°C.
